FAQS (Frequently Asked Questions)

  • Is smoking allowed at J. Fred Johnson Stadium? Dobyns-Bennett High School is a tobacco-free campus and smoking is not allowed inside(or outside) of J. Fred Johnson Stadium.
  • Who needs a ticket and where can I get them? All adults and school-aged children need a ticket to get into J. Fred Johnson Stadium. Tickets can be purchased in the following ways:
      -- In person at the Dobyns-Bennett Athletics Office (M-Th 8-3PM/Friday 8-Noon). 
      -- At the main ticket booth located near Gate 1 (Main Gate) starting 1.5 hours before kickoff.
      -- At Gate 4 (Underneath Jumbotron) and Gate 6 (Visitor's Gate near Ft. Henry Drive) of J. Fred Johnson Stadium (on game  days 1.5 hours before kickoff).
  • Where is the D-B freshman & middle school football player pass list gate located? The player pass list is located at the visitor's entrance of J. Fred Johnson Stadium. Students will not be allowed entry at any other gates. 
  • Where can I purchase D-B gear and apparel? Fans can buy D-B gear and apparel at the Activities and Athletics Office, located in the Dome lobby of Dobyns-Bennett High School (M-Th 8-3:30PM/Friday 8-Noon). In addition, a table with fan gear will be set up just inside Gate 1 of J. Fred Johnson Stadium during all home football games.
  • Can I bring a camera into J. Fred Johnson Football Stadium? Cameras are allowed inside of J. Fred Johnson Stadium; however, no tripods are allowed. Additionally, live broadcasts of the game are prohibited without permission from the D-B Athletics Department.
  • When do the gates at J. Fred Johnson Stadium open on game day? Gates to J. Fred Johnson Stadium will open 1.5 hours prior to kickoff.
  • What items are prohibited at J. Fred Johnson Stadium?

  • Can I re-enter J. Fred Johnson Stadium? There is NO re-entry into J. Fred Johnson Stadium without the purchase of a new ticket.
  • Can I bring a stadium cushion into the game? Fans can bring stadium cushions into the stadium, as long as it stays within the measurements of your seat. Stadium seats with arms or legs are not permitted and they must also be no wider than 14 inches. 
  • Can people bring backpacks into the game? Backpacks are not allowed inside J. Fred Johnson Stadium.
  • What types of payment are accepted at concession stands? Please plan to pay with cash and debit/credit (Visa/MasterCard/Discover) cards at concession stands inside J. Fred Johnson Stadium. 
  • Should students enter at a specific gate? Students with a purchased ticket or activities pass may enter at any gate at J. Fred Johnson Stadium.
  • Where are family/accessible restrooms? Accessible restrooms are available on both sides of the stadium. On the home side, restrooms are located in the lower and middle concourses. Family restrooms are located in these areas as well. On the visitor’s side, restrooms can be found next to the concession stand.  
  • Where are first aid stations? EMS will be located at Gate 5 (Service Entrance) during the game. First-Aid kits will be located at each concession stand. If a medical emergency exists, call 9-11 or contact the nearest school administrator, police office, game worker or security team member.
  • Where is the lost and found? Lost and found will be located at the lower concession stand on the home side of the stadium. 
  • What time does the D-B Band march down and enter the stadium? The band marches down at approximately 6:45pm and enters the main concourse tunnel on the home side of the stadium.

  • Conduct themselves in a manner that represents D-B and their team with honor, dignity and respect.
  • Demonstrate qualities of civility and sportsmanship at all times.
  • Not use vulgar, abusive, racist, sexist, demeaning, or intimidating language at any time.
  • Support the players, coaches and officials in a positive manner.
  • Treat the visiting team, coaches and fans with courtesy and respect at all times.
  • Not engage in cheers that are vulgar, crass or demeaning.
  • Refrain from throwing objects onto the playing surface for any reason.
  • Refrain from entering playing and team areas at any time, including the game.
  • Be a positive role model for those around you by treating others with courtesy and respect!
